[Global Network Comprehensive Report] According to Reuters reported on April 8, Honda announced that the production of the current Civic sedan will be stopped in Turkey after the completion of production in 2021.
Honda said that in view of the development of the global automotive industry to electrification, it is necessary to ensure sufficient production capacity. On the other hand, Honda’s car import and distribution business in Turkey continues, and the motorcycle business will not be affected by this resolution.
Honda plans to accelerate the pace of electrification this year, and on February 19 announced that it will reorganize its global production operations. Honda plans to introduce more than 20 electric models by 2025, and by 2030, it will achieve two-thirds of the total global sales of new energy vehicles.
