BMW’s global sales in October increased by 1.7% year-on-year. Electric car/SUV sold well

[Global Network comprehensive report] BMW officially released data shows that BMW’s global sales continued to rise in October, more than 200,000 units, up 1.7% compared with the same period last year, electric vehicles and SUVs are the most popular.

In October of this year, BMW’s sales in the three major markets of Europe, Asia and the United States increased. The global sales of BMW i brand, BMW iPerformance and MINI brand electric vehicles totaled 13,016 units, up 38.4% year-on-year. 18.4% of the BMW 5 Series sedan sales and 23.1% of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer sales came from plug-in hybrids.

In terms of SUV, the new BMW X3 performed outstandingly, with sales rising 150% to 20.57 million units. The BMW X3 began production in China and South Africa this year, and the supply has increased significantly.

From the end of January to October this year, BMW’s total sales reached 2.0355 million, an increase of 1.3% compared with the same period last year. Among them, the sales volume of BMW electric vehicles reached 110.56 million, an increase of 41.6% compared with the same period of last year.

After the EU began implementing the new WLTP test standard on September 1, the European auto market is facing severe price competition pressure, but the BMW Group still achieved sales growth in Europe.
