Cadillac said in a statement that although the plug-in hybrid version of the CT6 flagship model is discontinued in the US, the brand will continue to focus on the electrification trend of the model. With the company’s 10-year plan, alternative energy vehicles are still an important part of the brand’s future product line.
GM plans to launch 20 electric models by 2023, including Cadillac. Cadillac will continue to be the vanguard of new technologies such as Super Cruise and V2X.
The CT6 plug-in hybrid version is equipped with Volanda’s 18.4 kWh battery and a 2.0T LTG turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a total cruising range of 644 km. The pure electric cruising range is 50 kilometers, and the acceleration time of 100 kilometers is 5.2 seconds.
