Ford Autopilot is a subsidiary of Ford that specializes in autonomous driving. This cooperation project with Wal-Mart will analyze consumer preferences for automatic delivery of goods and improve the configuration of self-driving vehicles. Brian Wolf, head of auto-driving distribution vehicles, said: “We believe that in the future, autonomous vehicles will play a key role in the delivery of goods, and the most important thing is to understand what people need to do in their daily lives. We will work together Collect consumer preference data and learn how to connect people’s lives to the products they need.”

The distribution service platform Postmates will also participate in this collaboration to develop vehicle scheduling and routing systems with Ford. Earlier, Ford and Wal-Mart had worked with Postmates, a new pilot project that provided infrastructure to accelerate the start and operation of the project. As early as February of this year, Ford has already started testing the car and delivery business, and cooperated with the pizza company and the local dry cleaners to complete more than 1,000 delivery services.
