Ford’s driverless car division chief, Sherif Marakby, said that by then, Ford will start deploying hundreds or possibly thousands of “self-driving cars. These vehicles will be put into operation to transport passengers. And the goods travel through eight areas of the city. Ford’s pilot project is largely to prepare for the commercialization of driverless cars, ensuring that the technology can be applied effectively in crowded, traffic jammed urban conditions.

Malakby said in an interview on the 22nd, “We will be committed to developing this business in different parts of the city, which will take some time, but this is in line with the parallel concept of our business and technology development.”
