[Global Network Comprehensive Report] According to the European version of “Automotive News”, Guangzhou Automobile Group (hereinafter referred to as GAC) will announce the European strategy by the Paris Motor Show opened in October, when a new model called A10 will be launched at the exhibition. The Enverge electric concept car, which debuted at the Detroit Auto Show in January, will also be on display. And plans to bring the GS8 7-seat SUV into the US market next year.
GAC has made Europe and the US part of its global market expansion strategy. In June of this year, the company said that this year’s job fairs in Stuttgart, Munich and Paris attracted more than 700 applicants. GAC offers positions in automotive engineering, process technology, management and marketing.
GAC did not disclose any details of the A10 that will be released in Paris on October 2. But the company said it will disclose details of its global brand strategy at the show. Previously, GAC sold cars in 15 markets outside China, including Nigeria, Chile, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia. At the Moscow Motor Show in August, the manufacturer said it will be listed in Russia next year.
Guangzhou Automobile Passenger Vehicle Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Guangzhou Automobile Group, and has established joint ventures with Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, and Fiat Chrysler. Bloomberg reported earlier this year that Toyota and GAC are cooperating to launch electric vehicles, so that GAC can use Toyota’s strict quality control and Toyota can use GAC’s low-cost technology.
