According to the Kyodo News Agency, Nissan revealed that the policy of maintaining the cooperative relationship is the result of the consultations of the top three companies.

Ghosn is the head of the three corporate management companies. The company is located in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. Nissan President Nishikawa Hiroto and Mitsubishi Motors CEO (CEO) Yi Zixu participated in a web conference in Japan.

According to the internal regulations of the company, the company’s chairman and CEO are Renault. Although Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors have dismissed the chairmanship of Ghosn, Renault is still the chairman and CEO. Nissan and Mitsubishi may request a replacement of the chairman of the management company during the negotiations, while Renault may advocate an extension decision.

According to analysis, Ghosn sought to achieve the business integration led by Renault before his arrest. Nissan was arrested with Ghosn as an opportunity to reconsider Renault’s 43.4% stake in Nissan, and Nissan only has a capital structure of 15% of Renault’s shares.

The French government is Renault’s largest shareholder, and the country’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Lemer, is holding Nissan “without wishing to change the balance of power”.
