US magazine car reliability rankings released, Japanese brands take the top four

[Global Network Report reporter Wang Huan] According to the Japanese Kyodo News reported on October 25, the US authoritative professional magazine “Consumer Report” released the results of the car brand reliability survey on the 24th, Japanese companies took the top four, once again received a higher evaluation. The top ranked is Toyota Motor Corporation’s premium car brand “Lexus”, “Toyota” ranked second, the last two rankings of the previous year interchange. “Mazda” rose from the 12th place in the previous year to the third place. The sixth “Subaru” ranked fourth in the previous year.

The survey collected data on more than 500,000 vehicles and analyzed their performance and quality. Nissan Motor Co.’s premium car brand “Infiniti” ranked sixth, and Japanese brands accounted for five of the top ten.

According to the magazine, Mazda’s ranking is higher because of the higher evaluation of sports cars such as “MX-5” (known as ROADSTER in Japan).

Nissan’s Nissan was 14th and Honda’s ranking slipped to 15th. Mitsubishi Motors’ “Mitsubishi” was not ranked because of “insufficient data.”
